Copper Wall Art - Artistic Trees
A State of Copper began when Alex and Becky Teselsky constructed a copper and stone bar in their Michigan log cabin. They wanted to hang an appropriate piece of art in the bar as a final touch, thinking an image of the Great Lakes made from leftover copper would be perfect. Not wanting to re-invent the wheel, they searched and were unable to find adequate products or tutorials on the internet, so they decided to invent their own process.
Each original piece of copper art is produced using a painstaking 42 step process beginning with a flat piece of copper and a variety of natural acids. The finished work is sealed in high-quality crystal clear marine resin. This halts the possibility of further oxidation and protects the copper for future generations to enjoy. These are truly unique pieces of artwork!
